Living by Grace

Dedicated to providing guidance in daily living through the power of God's grace as experienced in our union with Christ.

God's Willing Gift

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.   John 3:16

We believers never cease to rejoice in the love of God that sent Jesus into this earth to make possible everlasting life.

But there is another dimension to the love that brought Jesus into this earth. God’s gift was a willing gift. Read the following:

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.  Philippians 2:5-8

The coming of Jesus to this earth to ultimately die on the cross involved a series of choices of love on His part.

The love of the Father and the Son is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell.

We rejoice that the believers’ celebration of Christmas reminds the entire world of the love of the Father and the Son.

We want the world to know that Jesus came to provide our glorious salvation. We want the world to experience what Jesus came to make possible.

When in love Jesus came to this earth, He did so as the “Last Adam.”

“The first man Adam became a living being. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.”  1 Corinthians 15:45

This dimension of the divine love gift meant the creation of a new race of people—people crucified, buried, and resurrected.

Experiencing these features of our life in Jesus moves us to the highest benefit of divine love for Christian living.
