Living by Grace

Dedicated to providing guidance in daily living through the power of God's grace as experienced in our union with Christ.

Our Other Helper (11)

I … pray… for those who will believe in Me through their word … that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  John 17:20-21

It is God’s will that all born-again believers be one. When we received Jesus as Lord and Savior, we were born into the family of God. It seems that most Christians have embraced the idea that they should be one with their fellow church members—and for some, even a larger group they are a part of. This limits the plan of God for a believer.

We have been sinning against the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in not seeking oneness with all of God’s children.

If some brave leader in one of our separated born-again groups should reach out to leaders of the other born-again groups to seek unity, it could be the beginning of a great revival. If the leaders of our isolated groups got together to talk about some type of gathering of all the isolated born-again groups, it could result in all our isolated groups meeting as a Family. This is what the Holy Spirit is leading us to do. If all of God’s family would live like family, we would be a strong force for God.

One can imagine that such a movement would be the beginning of the end of our slide as a nation into more and more moral decline.

After the victory of the Revolutionary Ward, a person went to John Adams and asked him who the main people responsible for the victory were. Adams quoted the names of 7 pastors. If we had this type of leadership now, we could be on our way to another great victory through our unity as a family.
